Senior Landscape Architect
Momentum Planning and Design is a boutique consultancy firm based in Tauranga, we specialise in environmental planning, urban design and landscape architecture. We work throughout the North Island and sometimes the South Island when the opportunity presents itself. We have a range of partner firms which we engage as required to provide bespoke multi-disciplinary project teams to deliver a range of projects. Including commercial/public realm, residential, rural and reserve based projects.
We are seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to join our team. You will be working closely with the Landscape Architecture Lead, and will be working collaboratively with our planners, urban designers, and a range of external consultants.
MPAD is committed to growing the landscape architectural services within the practice, so this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of this growth and be exposed to a diverse range of projects.
Further, we are engaged to undertake the detailed design of a landmark project in the Western Bay of Plenty within the short to medium term, which you will be working on and involved in all facets of the design phase.
What experience/skills you will have:
A Bachelor Degree or Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture.
At least 5 years of previous experience in the Landscape Architecture Industry.
Proven detailed design public realm experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong design and graphic capabilities.
Experience in the use of a range of digital programmes, including Adobe, CAD, and SketchUp.
The ability to work collaboratively within the office and with external consultants.
The ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
A design led approach to problem-solving.
Able to confidently express ideas to projects teams, Council/and regulatory authorities, where required.
Remuneration would be based on demonstrated experience and skills.

SENIOR PLANNER POSITION
Momentum Planning and Design is a multi-disciplinary planning and design firm based in Tauranga. We have a range of clients through the Bay of Plenty, Waikato and Auckland. We are looking for a senior planner to join our friendly team and share our new offices in central Tauranga. You will be self-motivated, solutions focused and have a high level of professionalism to understand and respond to our client requirements. Having a passion for good urban design outcomes and/or having design capability is an advantage.
Momentum has very good relationships with several partner firms who often work on projects together. We also have a collaborative working style with Council staff. Much of the focus of our work is preparing resource consent applications, subdivision and land use, to both District and Regional Council’s. We are also involved in master planning, landscape design, due diligence assessments, and a range of other planning and design services. Our work is varied and interesting and we have a range of exciting projects we are currently working on.
